I got my first order for a limited time discount and had just colored my hair, but didn't want to miss out on the great deal. Once I use it I will add more to the review. I put off coloring my hair way longer than I should and then all the grays start to show. This is a perfect subscription for me. No more remembering when I need to color I just wait for the box to arrive!

Box contents I love that they send everything you need! It is more that you get from a regular drugstore box of hair color. I love the easy-to-follow visuals—including two pairs of fitted, professional-grade gloves and a thicker cream base that makes for a drip-free application process, hair cap, skin protector, skin wipes, shampoo and conditioner.

I was finally able to try this out....I loved it! 1st no ammonia burn my eyes and nose smell, there was a faint pleasant smell to it. 2nd it was very gentle on my scalp, with drugstore boxes they can irritate my scalp, Madison Reed did not irritate my scalp at all. 3rd it has great grey coverage! 4th I have really long thick hair (mid back) there was more than enough with the 2 tubes. 5th Great color!!! I chose a reddish brown and it was perfect, just enough red to show through the brown. With most brands the red is barely noticable, this one was perfect for me. 6th this did not damage my hair, it left it with a great shine and healthy appearance.

The one and only thing I didn't care for was the dye consistancy itself. I am messy when I dye my hair because it is so long, I try to find nondrip formulas, this one was the same consistancy as many other store brands. I did add a few more dye stains to my bathroom rug with this one. However the great color is definately worth it. I may try to get a friend to dye my hair next time.
